PhD Position (m/f/d) Preclinical Validation of Bioabsorbable EMD Prototypes by Development & Application of Histological Methods

Project Description

Your PhD project will be involved in the preclinical validation of small-scale devices through the development and application of histological techniques.

The objectives of this project are:

1. Assess in-vivo biocompatibility in a small animal model according ISO 10993-1 – Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices.

2. Assess the acute functional performance of selected devices (first batch) in a small animal model that have passed in-vitro verification within WP2.

3. Development and application of pathological methods to assess performance of EMD devices made of bioabsorbable alloys.
